On this episode of Driving Home, Marco and Danny discuss Danny's sermon, "Banking on Gospel Identity" (1 Corinthians 9:15-27).
On Marco's first official day of work, he joins Ben to discuss Ben's sermon from Colossians 1:28-29. They discuss the student ministry and the spiritual hunger of teens at Elevate, define sequential exposition and give an update on Bradley King's internship. They answer: "If I feel my faith is stagnant, should I then cease from trying to share with others?" "What's the connection between proclaiming Christ and faith and repentance?" And if you're not in a LIFEGroup...GET IN A LIFEGROUP!!!!!
Danny and Marco enjoy the atmosphere at Roscoes as they recap and follow up from the sermon on 1 Timothy 2:1-4. They deal with questions like, "Why were OT people told to fight, literally, yet we shouldn't consider ourselves at war with others?" "Should we be viewing other people in society as our enemies?" and "Why do you think Paul chose quiet and peace as the things to pray for, and how should that set our expectations for our influence on the culture?"
Plus, stick around to the end to hear an update from Marco about his transition to staff.
